Needle Felt a Cookie Ornament Workshop

Get into the holiday spirit by creating a woolly cookie ornament while learning the art of needle felting. Instructor Cathy Disbrow will teach you how to use a cookie cutter as the template that you’ll needle felt wool into to create a cookie shape. She will demonstrate various needle felting techniques on how to decorate your fiber cookie. There will be a variety of wool colors to choose from that will be your “icing” for decorating. Cathy will show you how to add a thread or ribbon.

As part of VAM’s Art Night Out, there will be a half hour of free music and refreshments before the workshop at 6:30 p.m.

Wool and 2 needles are included in the cost. Foam felting pads are provided for students to use during the workshop and can be purchased separately.
