March 23 @ 6:30 pm - March 30 @ 9:00 pm EDT

Have some Spring fun by learning how to needle felt a bird that sits in its own nest. In session 1, learn you how to make and attach wool shapes to make your bird body, sculpt the tail, make and attach wings, and the techniques for felting the beak and eyes. Choose which bird you want to needle felt: an Indigo Bunting (blue) or Scarlet Tanager (red).

In session 2, learn how to needle felt a nest that will fit to your bird’s body and/or that can stand alone, and decorate it from a selection of colored locks and findings. You will also learn how to make eggs for when you needle felt tons more nests on your own.

This class is good for all levels of needle felters. Beginners will learn new techniques, intermediate students can add to their felting knowledge, and advanced felters can have 2 evenings of needle felt fun.

Needles and wool to create your bird and nest are included in the cost. Foam felting pads are provided for students to use during class and can be purchased separately.
