Join fibre artist Cathy Disbrow for a hands-on workshop in the art of needle felting. Spend an afternoon learning and creating within the welcoming historic environment of Campbell House Museum. This three-hour workshop will introduce you to the skills needed to create a vibrant and expressive needle-felted artwork. Learn how to attach the wool fibres, blend wool colours, shading and highlights, and other needle felt tips and techniques. Participants will be taught to create a 6” x 4” wool painting of a Spring landscape with a river and sheep.
Museum admission is included in the price of your ticket, so you can arrive at 12:00 for a chance to explore the museum before the workshop.
Materials included in the cost: Wool, 2 needles, and a wool felt sheet with drawing on it. Foam felting pads are provided for students to use during class and can be purchased separately.
